Blink is a communications device that allows for two-way communication between pedestrians and autonomous vehicles. It pioneers new methods to communicate vehicle intent and promote pedestrian influence on its decision through sensors and machine learning of gestures. Blink currently learns and responds to human gestures through a machine learning dataset. The design allows for the training of hundreds of culture-specific gestures that would reflect the complexity of the road situation across different cultures and localities.
